Bellamy Young

Young began her professional profession as an actor in the theater. In 1997 she made her Broadway debut in the role of Mary in the first cast of The Life. Also, she performed off-Broadway in Stephensondheim's music production Merrily we Roll Along (1994) as well as the show of Randy Newman, Faust (1995-1996). The actress made her debut on the TV screen in 1995 as the character Dr. Courtney Evans. The role was in Law & Order as a guest in two parts in 1997, and again in 1998. She debuted in film in 1999. Her debut film was one minor part in Black and White. In the subsequent years she appeared in various independent films. From the mid-2000s onwards, she started appearing as guest-star roles on a number of TV comedies and dramas, which included The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. Young was a part of more than 30 TV shows between the years 2000 to 2011. in 2003 Young was cast as an actor on Peacemakers, a USA Network show Peacemakers. After nine episodes, the program stopped after a single episode. There were recurring characters in the Lifetime legal drama For the People as Deputy Dist. Atty. Agnes Hunt in 2002, on NBC the period drama American Dreams as Diane Shaw in 2003. Later, she appeared on NBC's Scrubs as Dr. Grace Miller in 2004 and as the assistant State Attorney Monica West on CBS's CSI: Miami (2005-06), and in the ABC Primetime soap opera Dirty Sexy Money (2008-2009) as Ellen Darling, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Darling family.
